Kelsea Daulton

I'm a freelance writer and editor. Researching and writing original content give me a buzz. I'm a graduate from the University of Cincinnati with B.A.s in English and journalism.

Hey, I'm Kelsea.

I've worn many different hats in the publishing industry. Throughout school and my career I've learned desktop publishing and enjoy working with InDesign. After I completed my internship as a content creator and editor with the publishing house F+W, I was invited to stay as a temporary editor, to which I said, "Heck, yes." This is where my skill with InDesign was really cultivated with the help of several talented colleagues. You can find details about the many roles I played at F+W in my resume and in my portfolio under the publications Living Ready Books, Family Tree Books, Horticulture, and Great Gardens.

During my college days I served as a senior writer and copy editor for the student-run newspaper, The News Record, and wrote stories for the New Media Bureau (NMB.) The NMB is a publication under UC's journalism department that focuses on multimedia platforms and works with local news networks that syndicate NMB stories. All work required interviews and research.

Other than freelance work, my most recent job in the writing and editing fields was with Inner Peace Holistic Center. I had the privilege of writing and editing content for the website, creating social media marketing campaigns, maintaining social media accounts, writing and maintaining email correspondence, coordinating events and desktop publishing (flyers, newsletters), copy editing my colleagues' work, and writing and formatting weekly newsletters.
